Flex is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to join their team in Guadalajara, North Campus. As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for MySQL database administration, migration from other RDBMS to MySQL DB on-prem/Cloud platforms, database performance tuning, backup and restore, disaster configuration, high availability setup, user, storage maintenance, and automation, AD/LDAP configuration. You will collaborate with application teams, designers, developers, and business owners to ensure timely project delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and administer MySQL solutions
- Migrate databases/data from RDBMS to MySQL on-prem/cloud infrastructure
- Design databases including implementation, performance tuning, and capacity planning
- Deploy and administer MySQL on cloud platforms
- Manage connectivity, backup and recovery tasks, resource and security management
- Collaborate with application teams to install and update patches, and version upgrades when required
- Handle designers, developers, and business requests
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- 5+ years of experience as a MySQL database administrator
- Experience in deploying and maintaining databases on cloud/AWS/on-Prem
- Fluent in English
- Basic knowledge of Linux admin skills
- Strong working knowledge of MySQL Enterprise Monitor, MySQL Enterprise Backup
- PostgreSQL experience is a plus
