Q: What is the job of a Solution Architect at Ericsson?

A: The Solution Architect is responsible for analyzing, designing and developing technical solutions based on customer specifications and business needs, and for ensuring short and long-term profitability for the company. They may also support Consultants during requirement analysis and high-level design phases.

Q: What specific responsibilities does the Solution Architect role involve?

A: The Solution Architect will handle LTE and have a good understanding of LTE with hands-on experience with RAN products, radio parameters, key performance indicators, and features. They should have at least 10-12 years of experience, with at least 5 years of LTE experience in both FDD and TDD. They should also be well-versed in Ericsson systems, parameters, KPIs, features, and tools, and it is an added bonus if they have worked on Huawei systems and have a good understanding of Huawei products, parameters, KPIs, and features. The Solution Architect should be able to perform basic drive tests and on-field parameter tuning for LTE, and have experience with radio performance reporting tools such as OSS, ENM, MYCOM, or similar tools from other vendors/operators. Additionally, they should have a good understanding of the concepts of NR/LTE interworking, and be responsible for monitoring, steering, and optimizing the NR/LTE layers. They should also be able to expand sites and migrate users, improve processes and ways of working, participate in customer discussions, take ownership to follow up on issues and customer concerns, interface and collaborate with other Managed Services teams and project teams as needed, solve RF faults, perform interference analysis, and provide recommendations.

A: The Solution Architect should have a bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communications or an equivalent field, and at least 10 years of experience. It is an added bonus if they have an understanding of Python language and have worked on automation to improve ways of working.
