We are seeking an experienced L3 Functional Safety Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in the FUSA life cycle with systems and software development in the automotive industry, with a minimum of two systems safety compliance done. They should also be certified as ISO26262 Automotive Functional Safety Professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all functional safety activities and development from the concept stage through the product life cycle.
- Collaborate with domain experts on various vehicle components such as Motor controller, Vehicle controller, Battery Management system, Engine controller, Lighting controller, steering systems, sensors, etc.
- Perform all project phases including hazard analysis and risk assessment (HARA), failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), fault tree analysis (FTA), FMEDA, Safety Case, Test case generation, DIA, and Safety compliance report in line with ISO26262.
- Creation of the Functional and Technical Safety Concepts (FSC and TSC) and collaboration with teams to develop the same.
- Decomposition of business and customer requirements into functional and technical safety concepts, creation of test specifications, and validate all documentation.
- Collaborate with system engineers and other stakeholders in the preparation of test plans, creation of support documentation, and conducting audits with internal and external customers.
Requirements:
- BE/ BTech/ ME/ Mtech in Electronics (& Telecommunication)/ Instrumentation (& Control)/ Electrical from a reputed institute.
- 5 – 7 years of experience in FUSA Life Cycle wrt Systems and Software Development in automotive with minimum two systems safety compliance done.
- Certified ISO26262 Automotive Functional Safety Professional.
Preferred add-ons:
- Experience in software test specifications and automation for PIL / HIL / SIL tests.
- Level 2, Level 3 safety reviewer, responsible for monitoring and evaluating software implementation carried out by software teams.
- Experience with tools like Ansys Medini, DOORS, etc.
- Scripting, programming, and process automation skill to generate company-specific forms/ templates.
