Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to component development and integration in the field of engine integration
  • Create 3D geometry and drawings of components taking into account dimensions, tolerances, manufacturing issues, and space requirements
  • Develop design concepts considering all relevant stakeholder needs
  • Approve assemblies for mass production while meeting John Deere’s product development process and quality, cost, and timing goals
  • Coordinate and release drawings, assembly instructions, etc. through established processes

Requirements:

  • Completed degree or technical education in mechanical engineering (or equivalent)
  • Independent and responsible work ethic
  • Several years of professional experience in the field of product development for media-leading management systems, plastic, casting, and sheet metal parts
  • Familiarity with farm machinery is desirable
  • Excellent knowledge of Creo ParametricsĀ®, particularly with the Piping and Sheetmetal modules, modeling complex cast parts, handling large assemblies, and drawing creation
  • Experience working with PCs and common IT systems (MS Office)
  • Good communication skills and proficiency in English
