Tata Communications is seeking an Assistant Manager for the Platform Planning and Design team in Chennai, India. As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for setting objectives and delivering results that have a significant impact within the context of a wider operational area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deep knowledge of telecom transmission networks like Fault Management, Alarm Monitoring, Network provisioning
- Experience in validating circuits in Routers, switches, and transmission nodes
- In-depth understanding of telecom standards & protocols
- Ensures all installation functions are performed in a timely fashion to meet agreed SLAs/KPIs
- Perform escalation management, wherever necessary and in case the project is in jeopardy
- Effectively applies telecom methodology and enforces performance standards
- Monitor the project to meet the committed timelines from the client
- Conduct a kick-off/Handover meeting with the design & all relevant stakeholder team
- Exposure to International client facing functions
- Knowledge of inventory tools like Cramer, MORI, COPS, COMS, Clarify, Remedy, CPS, TC10 & OMARS
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Able to identify problems and significantly improve, change or adapt existing methods and techniques
Requirements:
- Engineer/ ME/MTech degree
- Minimum 4-8 years of experience in the telecom industry
