Duties and Responsibilities
- Hardening SQL Server as per WNS Standard DB Hardening policy
- Regularly patching SQL server with Service packs, Cumulative updates.
- Providing support for upgrading to higher versions
- Implementation of DR using log shipping, Always on, etc.
- Providing support for performance tuning
- Providing support for Backup/Restores and cloning of databases
- Providing support for troubleshooting all issues related to DB
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL is desirable but not mandatory
